How is Generation Like and the Catcher in the Rye alike?

Generation Like was about how "likes" on social media can change what a person thinks of themselves and how everyone thinks of them. Generation Like and the Catcher in the Rye relate because Holden, the main character of the Catcher in the Rye, wants to fit in with an older crowd or even get noticed just like us normal teens also want to fit in. Holden tries to fit in with an older crowd by smoking, drinking alcohol, and hanging out with older girls. We try to fit in by making sure that we post a perfect picture or that we have a lot of followers to make us popular.

I Love You Fam

My friends are the ones that make me happy. This might sound cheesy but I love them and I wouldn't be able to do anything without them and I am so grateful that they are in my life. As friends we do fight maybe sometimes more than other friends would, but in the end we always make up because we wouldn't be able to live without each other. They make me laugh when I'm sad and they always cheer me up because they know that I love them to death and that their happiness will always make me smile. Without them I wouldn't have amazing adventures that are now great memories, I also wouldn't have our inside jokes that make me laugh until I cry sometimes. This is what makes me happy. Knowing that I have these people by my side through thick and thin until we graduate and hopefully for the rest of our lives.
